Family Involvement

Partnering with the school to support my child’s learning

Your involvement in your child’s education is vital. Research shows that parent involvement directly effects academic success and creates a better partnership between home and school.  Parents/guardians are expected to volunteer and contribute time and support on a monthly or weekly basis to the kindergarten program in both the classroom and at home.

A positive attitude toward school is very important. Parents/guardians should always speak about school in a supportive way around their child so the child develops a good feeling about school. It’s important to take a few minutes each day to review what your child did at school. Be sure to read everything the school sends home. You’ll often find these in your child’s Friday bags (Backpacks are discouraged in kindergarten).

Fingerprint clearances are required for all volunteers. Forms can be picked up in the school office.
